First and Foremost hello to all of you in the XD enthusiasts out there! I should have joined this forum a long time ago but this is my first attempt so bear with me as I learn to navigate this stuff My first question is a legal one of sorts: I have two XD's chambered in.45 ACP. One is a full size Service bi-tone and the other is a compact Tactical (crazy I know!) Is there any legal trouble I could get in by switching the 'lowers' on the two pistols so the Service is now a compact and the Tactical is full size? Also, If I wanted to someday sell one of these guns, would I have to match the serial numbers back up with the appropriate slides or would I just sell the gun under the serial number listed on the slide and forget about the numbers not matching on the lower frame?? Equally, a good number of people (such as myself) had early production Kel Tec pistols (mine was a P32) because the LOVED the idea of such a small and lightweight gun. However, they found the guns to be problematic and were turned-off to the brand because of their experience.
